As some of you down in D.C. may be aware there was a huge rally for vaping in front of the White House at the beginning of November. The UVA (United Vapers Alliance) was the main organizer but many of the different vaping activism networks had a hand in the event and lent their support to the event. Thousands of Vapers showed up to support the vaping industry and protest against uninformed bans and restrictions.
Influential speakers from all over the vaping industry took the stage and gave rousing and inspirational speeches to the thousands of vapers gathered on the Eclipse Lawn Park directly across from the Whitehouse. The chant on everyone’s lips and the signs in hands gave credence to the message vapers have been shouting for weeks, We Vape! We Vote!
To top it all off, President Trump just happened to be on his way to a Football game and the helicopter carrying him flew directly over the rally. There must’ve been a moment of clarity for the president as he looked down on a mass of angry people ready to vote with their vapes next year.
It seems like the message was heard loud and clear, shortly after the rally there was an interesting tweet from President Trump.
“Will be meeting with representatives of the Vaping industry…….. to come up with an acceptable solution to the Vaping and E-cigarette dilemma. Children’s health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!”
So it looks like the fear-mongering days are soon to be behind us and governments can approach legislation and vaping regulations with informed policies. Industry advocates and representatives have been crystal clear on just how devastating it will be to lose the thousands of small businesses and tens of thousands of jobs. There are over 13,000,000 vapers in America ready to be single-issue voters and politicians are wising up to that fact.
